The most important stage of any garden design is the beginning.  A site visit is crucial in understanding the garden and what you want to achieve.  If you have a clear vision for your garden or if you are just starting your green fingered journey, the initial consultation is essential.  It helps the designer understand your ideas and aspirations in the context of the garden.  

Some sites can be complex with levels, protected trees or drainage problems.  It is important that the designer can see first-hand what the site has to offer and can solve any issues or incorporate existing features into the new garden design.
